Is AI an unusable tool for the juice, beverage and citrus industry?
Are governance and security fears our biggest enemies?

I just went through about 300 articles. About 90% was repeat of news earlier this week and the remainder was fluff not worth the mention.
So instead, based on multiple conversation I have had last 3 weeks, a poll.
A common topic surfacing in these conversations: AI.
On one hand, boards are demanding "AI innovation" and faster speed-to-market. On the other hand, IT departments are (rightfully) blocking access to ChatGPT, Claude, and data agents due to IP leakage fears.
So, what’s actually happening?
Some teams are doing it anyway. On personal devices. Over 5G. Off the network.
Seemingly we are creating a culture of "Shadow Innovation" because the corporate compliance layer hasn't caught up to the operational reality.
There has to be a middle ground—an "operational air gap"—where we can use these tools safely without feeding our proprietary formulas into a public model.
How is your team handling this? Are you fully blocked, or is there a "don't ask, don't tell" policy in place?
[after your vote you have an option to add comments, questions, etc.]
What is your company’s current stance on using tools like ChatGPT or Claude for work? |
Let’s see what this yields, and I will revert with answers to each scenario.
Have a solid weekend!
