Yes, that title is harsh, and more or less one on one with the article title it refers to.
I was happy to hear—just a few days ago—that there is quite some positive movement and hope in Florida… Patience is key, acceptance of new approaches as well.
Last week was a whirlwind. The IFU Juice conference, in collaboration with JPA, was a great success.
IFU showcased (again) what value it brings to, and on behalf of the fruit and vegetable juice industry. In just a couple of days, with speakers from across the globe, with attendees way beyond just "The States", we saw a brilliant mix of market information and crop updates, trend and development opportunities, and a heap of smiling faces, meeting, and networking.
While our industry faces many economic, political, and legislative challenges, events like the IFU Juice Conference prove that together there is both passion and power to weather what comes across our paths.
The cherry on top during this event, the technical visits, were an amazing reflection of companies doing it "right" and teams stepping up to make the next phase an inspiration for peers in the industry.
Many thanks to Peace River Citrus Products, JBT Marel and IFF, for opening their doors and making so many employees available to host and guide us!
And it was nice to be on stage, with the great people of AB Enzymes, MinusSugar and NewTree Fruit Company, in a panel discussion on Sugar Reduction in Fruit Juices… a conversation I am sure will have a few follow ups.
Sincerely

Making Hydraulics Obsolete
Every excavator, forklift, and crane on the planet runs on hydraulic fluid. It leaks. It fails. It burns through 60% of the energy you put into it. That's been true for a hundred years.
RISE Robotics built Beltdraulics™ to fix all of that. Their patented actuator swaps out hydraulic cylinders for a fluid-free electric system that runs up to 3X faster and cuts operating costs by 50%. No oil. Full digital control. Built-in sensors that hydraulic systems can't touch.
The U.S. military is already a customer. MIT-founded. $9.3M in revenue. 20+ patents protecting the core technology. Dylan Jovine of ‘Behind the Markets’ said RISE “has all the little ingredients to be one of those really big winners.” His readers have been backing it ever since.
