"Usually when companies are getting up in that $200–250 million range, they're in 80,000, 90,000, 100,000-plus retail doors," CEO Ben Goodwin explains. "This year, we're hurtling down the track towards a half-billion dollars, and we've become fully profitable as a business."
Flavorman’s 2025 predictions reveal a shift in consumer interest toward ingredient transparency. In previous years, Flavorman accurately projected the rise of functional beverages, yet findings now suggest this trend is changing its tune.
With lawsuits targeting functional beverage brands for inaccurate label claims, Flavorman’s Beverage Architects predict consumers will take a closer look at ingredients and any associated health claims. Rather than relying on bold, catch-all statements, brands should prepare for a shift in consumer behavior, as drinkers scrutinize what’s really in each can.

🔬 Research Worth Reading
Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a class of plant growth regulators with several effects on plant growth and development. University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) work in the last few years has shown that BR treatments may influence internal maturity in Hamlin sweet orange if performed at the right time. Research has determined that a treatment of 186 milliliters of BR (0.1%) per 100 gallons of water applied just once at the right time of fruit maturation has the most consistent results.
For mature trees 7 years or older, 1 gallon of the prepared solution per tree is typically used for full tree coverage. In Hamlin, significant differences in Brix were seen when treatments are performed in a time window between mid-November and mid-December, with harvesting occurring two weeks after treatment. In these conditions, an increase in Brix from 7.9 (controls) to 8.9 (BR-treated trees) was realized.
This study was devoted to characterizing the juice powders (JPS and JPWS) of five pitayas with different flesh colors with regard to some phytochemical and functional attributes.
The third project is titled “Sustainable Citrus: Unlocking the Potential of Controlled Environment Agriculture for Commercial Nursery Growers.” With the goal of translating scientific discoveries into practical solutions for commercial growers, the project will enhance controlled environment agriculture technologies for citrus nursery growers.
